Details: Higher One is a fast-paced and dynamic organization.  Although we’ve grown significantly since we opened our doors in 2000, we still maintain our entrepreneurial spirit.  With offices on both the East and West Coast, we offer an environment that is fun, a bit unconventional at times, and dedicated to continued growth as a financial services and payment company focused exclusively on higher education. At Higher One, we believe that every employee is critical to our success.  Our focus in hiring is to find smart, dedicated and enthusiastic candidates as our innovative services depend upon the energy, values, hard work, and dedication of our employees.  Team members we hire are those who work intensely on projects that they feel passionate about.  As we continue to grow, we look for others who are also committed to retaining a small-company feel while moving us to the next level.Higher One is seeking a Vice President Software & Service. This position reports directly to the Chief Information Officer, with a dotted line report to the Chief Services Officer.  The VP Software & Service will lead a center of 5 groups of employees that supports our clients using our CASHNet Payment Suite of products integrated with multiple ERP systems.  The employee center is grouped by ERPs.  In this role, you will work with the Service Directors of each group to oversee all aspects of client implementation, integration engineering and support for our clients.  This position needs a detail oriented, entrepreneurially-focused individual who can communicate with a variety of individuals and will be domiciled at our Oakland, CA office.Essential Functions:Manage 5+ client-facing teams, comprised of 5 direct reports and 30 indirect reports, that integrate, implement and support our CASHNet Payment Suite product to our clients’ systems, which reside on a diverse and growing set of ERP platforms.Provide guidance and expertise to staff in how to implement and support highly customized (per client) software, across a large client base.Develop and grow the skills of all staff within the department, with a focus on developing subject matter expertise in all client ERPs.Provide expert advice and hands-on problem solving skills to resolve issues for clients.Establish and maintain solid interdepartmental relationships to support client satisfaction.Develop and maintain process to ensure client satisfaction in quality service.Prioritize and cost-effectively manage implementation, deployment and support efforts.Prioritize and manage completion of work to maximize revenue opportunity, while providing high quality client service.Contribute generously to continuous improvement processes and documentation.About the Company Focused exclusively on higher education, Higher One provides refund and payment management services to higher education institutions, and banking services to members of their community through a card based solution. Our Oakland office is in a professional office park near the Oakland Airport with only a five minute drive to Alameda.Working at Higher OneHigher One is not your typical financial services company.  Our environment is open – we do not have offices – not even for upper management.  We typically work in casual attire, and while our focus on excellence is anything but casual, we know how to have fun, too.
