Details: Job Title:Vice President AdministrationDepartment:      Human Resources/AdministrationReports To:Executive Officer – Administration and ServicesLocation:Administration Building Work Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m.; + flexible to job demandsBenefits / Pay Type:Salary, ExemptSummary of Duties & Responsibilities:% of Time                     (E)=Essential Functions               (M)=Marginal Functions15%     1.         (E)        Evaluate and advise on employee relations issues.  Advise HR                                    Director and/or Assistant HR Director, President or managers on                                    company policies, procedures and legal requirements.  Review and                                    approve recommendations on disciplinary actions and other personnel                                    actions for consistency and compliance in the absence of HR Director                                    and/or Asst HR Director or with the Executive Officer.  Supervise the                                    investigation of harassment or discrimination claims and any other                                    employee related issues to review recommendations for action. 25%     2.         (E)        Overall supervision and management of the Human                                     Resources/Administration Departments.                                      This includes hiring and orientation processes, employee relations,                                    health insurance benefits, personnel policies, HR Departmental policies,                                    HR Department staff, legal compliance, Process Based Leadership                                    system, 401(k) plan, employee communications, governmental                                    reporting, FMLA administration, recruitment, unemployment, maintaining                                    personnel files, investigations, grievances, corrective actions, Employee                                    Assistance, monitor budget.  5%       3.        (E)       Monitor company Departmental Policies & Procedures and                                      maintain Administrative/Board of Directors Policies &                                      Procedures.  Includes submitting to MIS Department for inclusion on                                   Company Intranet site.                             5%       4.         (E)      Responsible for management of Administration building along                                    with the Executive Coordinator.                           15%     5.          (E)      Responsible for company-wide Employee Recognition                                      Programs.  Includes New Hire Welcome Cards, Anniversary cards,                                    Employee Years of Service Program, Employee Mentor Program,                                     Employee & Client Referral Programs, Employee Suggestions,                                    Employee Award nominations, Holiday recognition, Company Picnics,                                    Corporate Citizenship opportunities, Incentive Contract Procurement                                    Plan.                       15%      6.         (E)       Responsible for leading the development of the company Fun!                                        work environment.  Includes monthly Fun! Event and Fun! Event                                      team.    10%      7.          (E)      Responsible for company communication programs:  Pass                                       Up/Pass Down, Employee Chat sessions, and Employee                                        Question & Answer Hotline, Employee Surveys.                                             3%       8.          (E)      Responsible for labor relations issues, along with Executive                                      Officer – Administration and Services and Senior Management team.    2%     9.           (E)      Responsible for CARF Survey process with other Senior                                        Managers; Coordinator.                                         5%      10.         (E)     Coordinate company business and functions.                                        Includes assisting with Public Relations issues.  Serve on Senior                                      Management and Management Teams; attend Board of Director                                      meetings, Strategic Planning sessions, Growth Team and Safety                                      Strategic team.  Carry out liaison functions with IARF, CARF, NISH,                                     community organizations as needed.  Assist with development of                                      company’s long-range planning and Strategic Planning.      Perform other related duties and assignments as required.
