Details: Classification:  Senior Financial Analyst Compensation:  $37.00 to $43.00 per hour NW Houston Oil & Gas client in search of Sr. Financial Analyst - Project Controls. Role will be supporting the financial analysis and reporting of large, complex oil and gas projects.•*MUST HAVE 3+ YEARS AS ANALYST OR PROJECT CONTROLLER FOR LARGE O&G PROJECTS, PERCENTAGE OF COMPLETION ACCOUNTING, AND 3+ YEARS SAP EXPERIENCE• Position interfaces with Project Management and all other supply chain departments to develop, track and analyze the cost basis of projects against forecast and actual.• General project knowledge as it relates to forecasting costs and cash. • Percentage of Completion accounting methodology is used and required.• General financial accounting is necessary to understand profit/loss and balance sheet affects.• Project Risk and opportunity development and assessment understanding is necessary.• Monthly project and key figure reporting.• Ability to prioritize and meet department deadlines.• Knowledge of foreign currency hedging. • General understanding of financial guarantees is required. • Contract Terminology and cause/affect to costing of project is required.• Experience with SAP Project Systems module is a plus. • Strong analytical skills and financial acumen, along with written and oral communication skills. • Project support experience required• Advanced spreadsheet modeling • Project cost accounting• Organizational skills are needed to prioritize and maintain a variable workload with simple and complex project structures, using international suppliers.This is a contract-to-hire opportunity paying $37-43/hr depending on experience.If you have the above qualifications, please email your resume along with a brief summary of your specific experience as it relates to the key points within this job description to .
