Details: JOB SUMMARY:  To provide direction and maintenance of business activities with relation to Information Technology systems and initiatives. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Manage and direct the continued development of the Cognos environment. Manage and direct the continued development of the Teradata Data Warehouse (TDW) environment. Manage and direct the perpetuation of the SQL datamart environment and its transistion to TDW. Directs the planning, ordering, testing and installation of all Cognos systems. Conducts regular status meetings to keep stakeholders apprised of progress. Manages Cognos training schedules and consulting contracts. Plans, organizes, and monitors the activities of the business systems and identifies opportunities for improvement. Researches and evaluates new technology and systems to improve the business operation and profitability. Manages and directs the QA Analyst and the quality assurance function. Provides project oversight and participation to ensure quality of applications and processes. Coordinates the testing and issue resolution as it pertains to quality assurance. Develops and maintains partnerships between IT and all areas of the business. Act as liaison between IT and Finance customers/partners. Supports and advises various departments regarding procedural controls of business and corporate systems.  ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides support and guidance for ShowCase, Checkfree and JD Edwards as needed. Ensure the efficiency and integrity of financial processes. Assists as needed in the design, development, test and implementation of IT projects and initiatives such as new POS, online ordering, Loyalty program and disaster recovery planning.
