Details: ***Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer***My client company is confidentially looking for as Vice President and Chief Accounting Officer for their central Texas location.Primary Responsibilities:• Manage all accounting functions• Ensure timely and accurate filings with the SEC• Develop, implement and upgrade financial systems and controls as necessary• Maintain appropriate internal controls and safeguards, including compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements• Oversee and participate in the preparation of monthly financial information on a timely basis• Act as annual external audit liaison• Ensure appropriate resources and staffing is available for department• Oversee production tax compliance• Interface with operations, information technology, investor relations and other departments within the company• Represent the accounting function in acquisition analysis and integration• Maintain and apply knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements• Member of management team• Oversee special projects as assignedQualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Accounting WITH CPA• 10 plus years upper level accounting experience in the oil and gas industry• Big 4 audit experience a plus• Superior leadership skills• Strong technical skills and experience in financial reporting and analysis• History of developing and implementing accounting policies, procedures, controls and financial reporting requirementsThis position offers a very attractive and competitive salary and an executive level bonus structure with full benefits package.Please ONLY contact if you meet all of the aforementioned requirements, otherwise your call will not be returned due to the number of applicants who want this position opposed to those who are actually qualified for it.
