Details: The Chief Quality Officer assists in the directing of all functions of Alta Vista Regional Hospital’s (AVRH’s) Performance Improvement Program, Safety and Risk Management, Medical Affairs, Nursing Education/Core Measures Abstraction and maintains a consultative with Infection Control,. The CQO will: 1) provide assistance and coordination for hospital efforts to monitor and maintain a standard of care which meets or exceeds the regulatory and/or standards of the state, federal, and Joint Commission for Accreditation of Health Care and, 2) in keeping with the overall philosophy of the AVRH, to assure that objectives of quality patient care, advancement of knowledge, and contribution to the community welfare are achieved effectively and efficiently.
