CPCM Contract Manager

Details: Lead contract negotiations, contract execution and contract administration. The position will be responsible for reviewing or authoring contractual agreements, conducting contract negotiations, consulting with multiple technical, program and business managers, and interacting with legal counsel, insurance agents and external customers. The role will require research, analysis, development and maintenance of contract documentation. Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities: • Create, define and negotiate terms and conditions of contractual agreements to include, but not limited to, Bid and Proposal, Master Supply of Services Agreement, Statements of Work, Non-Disclosure Agreements, Memorandum of Understanding, and Letter of Intent documents.• Construct effective contract language and consult with legal counsel as needed in matters of legal interpretation and adherence to corporate guidelines and standards.• Define and interpret contract terms and conditions to assure feasibility, due diligence and compliance.• Coordinate and lead internal and customer-facing contract negotiation and verification reviews. • Consult with Program Managers to ensure contract obligations are fulfilled throughout the performance period and assure appropriate review and response to customer contract requests.• Propose, develop and implement standard processes and procedures to achieve thorough, consistent and efficient start-to-finish contract execution.• Organize, maintain and electronically track all contracts and related documents, including documentation of performance of contracted obligations and billing justification.• Claims management for contractual delays, disputes, etc. Qualifications:• Minimum of ten+ years experience in writing, negotiating and administering contracts, both commercial and government (DOD) contracts. • College BS/BA degree in Business Administration/Management, Public Administration or related field required, with preference given to candidates possessing an MBA.• Extensive knowledge of various contract types, e.g. firm fixed price, incentive fee, T&M, construction & defense contracts; and familiarity of contract law.• Demonstrated in-depth negotiation skills to include planning and implementing negotiation strategies.• Must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, detail oriented, with strong organization and time management skills.• Ability to meet critical deadlines and successfully facilitate constructive engagements.• Self-motivated with proven ability to work independently, establish a high level of credibility and maintain effective relationships with co-workers and customers. • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or comparable applications.• CPCM (certified professional contracts manager) certification, desired. Looking for someone with experience as a Customer as well as a Vendor (person who has worked on both sides of the isle) • CLAIMS MANAGEMENT ??? defend against claims, track and analyze claims to determine root causes in order to protect from penalties and/or law suits. Experience with Claims Management (for contractual delays, disputes, etc???) VERY IMPORTANT • Familiar with large integration contracts Experience with Commercial and Government contracts, A MUST• Construction background, helpful
