Details: COMPANY OVERVIEWSt. Jude’s Ranch for Children provides high quality therapeutic care for abused, abandoned and neglected children and families.  With locations in Nevada and Texas, St. Jude’s Ranch has been improving the lives of children for 45 years by providing hope and healing in a safe home-like environment.   Learn more at:     www.stjudesranch.org       www.facebook.com      www.youtube.com/users/stjudesranch  JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Chief Development Officer (CDO) will foster a culture of creative philanthropy enterprise-wide and ensure fund development supports the culture of St. Jude’s Ranch for Children.   The CDO will possess exceptional interpersonal skills to best represent St. Jude’s Ranch and will develop effective and collaborative relationships with staff, management, the National Board of Trustees, the Regional Community Advisory Councils in Texas and Nevada, and internal and external parties to achieve annual fundraising goals The CDO will lead enterprise-wide fundraising activities to include planning, coordinating and implementing innovative strategies to grow and sustain donor relationships;  developing and maintaining systems to support fund development; and demonstrating accountability to all contributors.  The position reports to the Chief Executive Officer. Scope of Responsibilities: Leads, defines, designs and  implements the fiscal year Fund Development and Marketing Plan, including short-and long-range fund development plans and programs that support the organization’s mission, vision, core values and strategic goals    Regularly briefs the Chief Executive Officer and Development Committee of the National Board of Trustees on the effectiveness of the organization’s fundraising development and marketing strategies, balancing  funding mix of donor sources and solicitation programs that will attract, grow and retain donors and volunteers  Serves as staff liaison to the Regional Community Advisory Councils in Texas and Nevada and the Development Committee of the National Board of Trustees  Develops, maintains and complies with the organization’s fundraising policies and procedures; complies with all relevant regulations and laws; ensures accountability to donors; and complies with codes of ethical principles and standards of professional conduct for fundraising executives  Manages the daily operations of multiple departments and enterprise-wide donor software programs  Updates information on charity rating websites, (i.e. Guidestar, BBB Wise and Charity Navigator)  Develops the organization’s annual report for publication  Develops enterprise-wide coordinated marketing materials to include quarterly Ranch Roundup, monthly Community Advisory Council updates, event calendar, email blasts,  and other written marketing materials   Maintains and updates lists of donor restricted funds  Ensures sound fiscal operation of fundraising function, including timely, accurate and comprehensive development of donations to revenue and expense budgets, reporting, monitoring, variance analysis and implementation.
